swing it baby!

Whoever said ‘never work with children or animals’ only got half the story. It’s true that children are less predictable, but when it all hangs together it’s so very rewarding. I took a series of shots of this little prodigy at the Greenwich Dance Festival last July. In less than 20 minutes she had the rhythm down better than many adults!

When the child’s face is visible I always check that parents or guardians are happy with what I’ve done and with the idea that I’ll most likely give Dance Today the option to select them for publishing. While I know I’m within my rights to keep the shot in my private collection it’s easier to delete the shot in front of them than it would be to remember to keep it for myself.
