I also interviewed Tommy Franzén about his memories and impressions of Gene Kelly. We also chatted briefly about his rehearsals for Some Like It Hip-Hop which will run again (with some changes from the last run) at Sadler’s Wells in October. A consumate professional and all-round lovely guy, you can read what he said in next month’s Dance Today and after that if necessary I’ll fill in the gaps on this blog.

While my dance photography was already good in the early parts of last year, I still had a lot to learn about taking portraits in low light (I seem to remember this was taken in a cellar in Pineapple, London). Thank goodness I’ve learned now!
