Find Black Rose ‘Karmaa’ in a flamenco flashmob

The London instantiation of a world-wide flamenco flashmob, these dancers at Stables market in Camden are performing a tangos, choreographed by Rafaela Carrasco.

This morning I only just managed to finish and send documents for another project before leaving to cover this. Contrary to the impression one gets from this image, the sun shone most of the day. I had in my head a wonderful shot comprised of dancers with their backs to the sun, market stalls to the left and long shadows coming towards me. One of those shots that no editor could possibly refuse. I even had the fill flash tested and ready (unlike in this shot which I couldn’t resist) – but sadly I was overruled and didn’t think it appropriate to argue the point.
