Ultimate Dance Challenge for Save the Children
Both images: Dancers in a Contemporary Workshop at Save the Children’s ‘Ultimate Dance Challenge’ at Laban yesterday, Sunday 7th October
It has been an incredibly busy weekend and on Sunday I went to Laban in Greenwich to cover one of the many Ultimate Dance Challenge events held in aid of Save The Children. The first of a series of annual events, created after what sounds like a huge amount of consultation, Save the Children decided that as well as work with the many schools and clubs who made this a special day, they would hold their own event too.
I’ll have finished the article for Dance Today by this time tomorrow and hope to finish the photo processing in the next couple of hours. Then, because it really was a very busy weekend, I plan to go back to sleep.
I chose the top image because of the dreamy feeling of solidarity and working together for a common cause that it gives and the bottom image because it shows how hard everyone worked on their dance during the day.
