Words Worth at Lilian Baylis Theatre

I had a lovely evening watching Words Worth tonight after the photo call earlier. The show itself was an interesting combination of patterns, relationships, moods, movement and feelgood fun and I learned a lot by being able to see the production directly after shooting it. I’ll write more about it tomorrow; too tired to do so now, but here are some of the images.
I met Debora Bonemei; the producer of ‘Rights‘, there. She told me ‘In contemporary dance it’s often the case that music coexists with the dancers so there isn’t necessarily rhythmicity to worry about, while ballroom totally has to hit the beats. I liked to see the contemporary dance style hitting those notes with their bodies here and there without making it the focus or a strong element of the piece, especially as the contemporary dance style was quite balletic to begin with.
