After Party

While meeting for a quick New Year’s Day coffee, Ms Hedgehog and I decided to go to the Vintage Swing and Jive lesson given by the gorgeous Moe Sakan at London’s South Bank. It was absolutely packed with people of all ages and all walks of life, too dark (which is normal for the venue) and too packed to get really good dance photographs. However I got a few nice ones and will post them in time.

While there I was invited to the After Party at the Stags Head in Hoxton where conditions were challenging to say the least. A dark, crowded, small room absolutely teeming with fast-moving dancers so I pushed the ISO up to 4000 and even used some flash (although not in these shots).

I had to leave early – before the lock-in – because it’s only 2 weeks since I had that major op but as I’m happy with the majority of my images I don’t think it has made much of a difference. However, I have no time to process or even look at them all now, so here are a random two that, while they’re not my best do show the atmosphere nicely.
