Midsummer Mindfulness #3 Stone Paper Paradise
The third piece, far more linear in its construction, was a gripping love story that spoke to the power of words, unreconciled personal ambitions and the game ‘scissors, paper, stone’. Depicting an evolving relationship, it also employed and implied the many possibilities of poetry, the development of boredom even in a passionate relationship and the coexistence of chaos and routine.
It was the easiest to photograph, partly because the action was well lit but also because of the shapes the two performers created and because of the wonderful way the two dancers used their faces. The first of the three is here and the second here.
