When Ms Hedgehog suggested the word ‘Meep’ for #WordyMonday I wondered how on Earth I’d ever find an image to interpret it. Then, when I saw that the gorgeous, talented and urbane Electric Boogaloo member Poppin’ Pete was about to go on one of his whirlwind round-the-world tours I realised that I had the answer all the time.

The Urban Dictionary declares that Meep is the most versatile word in ‘the English language. In fact any language’. It can be a random exclamation, an expression of happiness, a greeting or an onomatopoeic expression of a gasp. Facebook recently instituted extra large emoticons that cover an enormous diversity of expressions, each larger than life, quite fun and all are exceptionally clear.

The images here are some of these that didn’t get to the Dance Today gallery or my forthcoming book, so the best is yet to come….

Next week the #wordymonday word is transient.
