Tomorrow I’m off to shoot One Youth Dance’s Easter show, Emerge. It’s going to be a big show and just organising the dress and technical rehearsals for so many pieces for so many different choreographies is a huge exercise in coordination. As if that wasn’t sufficiently complicated Joanna Shaw (organiser and principal) told me that the evening performance was oversubscribed. To satisfy parents who were unable to get places to see the actual show she decided to open up the final dress rehearsals. It should be great experience for the dancers, rather like a sharing.
