2nd anniversary at City Academy

According to LinkedIn I’ve been teaching photography to City Academy Students for two years now. I’ve loved every minute. To commemorate it I thought I’d post some of the shots I’ve taken to illustrate various ideas to my students.
What I discover from the many people who attend the classes (usually weekends or weekday evenings) is as fascinating as it is rewarding to watch the lightbulb moments and the development of each individual’s creativity.
I shot the image above to illustrate to my students how repeating objects, patterns and bokeh can be used.
And I photographed this image and the one below to illustrate use of the golden triangle.
I took the photo below to illustrate leading lines in composition.
I shot the image below to illustrate the Rule of Thirds.
Finally, the shot below is of some of the students playing with shutter speed while shooting the water feature at Somerset House.
