Sagatala looks at the socially constructed dominant masculine identity, passed from father to son, mentor to student, its expectation for strength and action. Juxtaposed in this is the individual's vulnerability in a society with so much political and social uncertainty and a poverty fo opportunities for young people. Exploring the traditional role of initiation and how these ideologies function as a guide on how tobe (or not to be) a man. Danced and choreographed by Idrissa Camara and Oumar Almamy Camara
