Trinity Laban’s Transitions Dance Company returns to London from 4-6 June after a triumphant UK and European tour, showcasing exciting new works from acclaimed choreographers.
Stefanie Batten Bland (2014 Joffrey Ballet Choreographer of Color Recipient), Dog Kennel Hill Project (2010 associate artists with Dance4, Aerowaves Spring Forward Festival and the British Council Showcase at the 2011 Edinburgh Festival), and Ikky Maas (National Ballet of Finland, Rambert Dance Company and Dance Collective London) created surprising, inventive and accessible dance for everyone to enjoy.
The talented twelve dancers who make up this year’s company from around the world are Clare Walters, Jonathan Caruana, Sarah Fletcher, Gordon D Raeburn, Franki Trout, Heli Latola, Hannah Beer, Andrew Race, Parinay Mehra, Martha Canning, Morrighan MacGillivray and Louise Lloyd. Featured designers for the entire tour are Andrew Hammond, Suzie Holmes and Karsten Tinapp.
Trinity Laban was the first to introduce a student dance company as part of its MA offering. Founded by artistic director Bonnie Bird, Transitions Dance Company has become Britain’s foremost professional training company for young dancers. Since 1982 approximately 200 dancers have performed, working with 80 choreographers and touring to more than 130 venues across the world.
