I’ve just finished processing the images I took at U.Dance2014 in Nottingham a couple of weeks ago (recovery from the most recent surgery really slowed me down and thought I’d select the word Intrepid for this #WordyMonday to show how it was. It was horribly wet and rainy for most of the first day, but that didn’t stop the schools who got together for the U.Damce 2014 Schools’ Commission.

Undaunted by the pouring rain young people from Nottingham academy, Nottingham Girls Academy and Big Wood Academy, who had created the dance work with eNGine, Nottingham Contemporary’s Young Curators and ‘Get Involved 17’ the four schools danced from different locations in to Old Market Square and then together to Nottingham Contemporary (its current exhibition Somewhat Abstract – Selections from The Arts Council Collection inspired the work) where it ended.
