Deja Vu represented as a #dance #image on #wordymonday

I produced this image in response to the news about a 23 year old British student who has been forced to drop out of university because of chronic déjà vu. This does not sound like a nice little groundhog-day story, instead it sounds like a horrendous experience. The feeling stopped him watching TV, listening to the radio or reading news media and magazines. Déjà vu featured in another recent news item. The Avalon River Mews in Bridgewater, New Jersey, was consumed by a conflagration. The same luxury appartment complext went up in flames less than 15 years ago and the two fires are considered some of the worst in the history of the area. A local resident who witnessed both said ‘it was like déjà vu’
I chose a composite of Outlier by Wayne McGregor | Random Dance, which was part of See the Music, Hear the Dance at Sadler’s Wells towards the end of last year to represent this because the crazy red circles in the backdrop could be considered to represent the stress that the poor British student must be feeling. In actuality the choreography was created to Thomas Ades’ Concentric Paths, which is what is represented. This was part of Sadler’s Wells’ see the music, hear the dance which comprised four specially created choreographers to various Thomas Adès works.
