I need your help – your backing in terms of time – to research, photograph and write an important and positive piece on the life of some Norwegian minorities who, in the current era of ethnic mistrust, frequently have had to go the extra distance to prove themselves worthy to claim the nationality of the country they love. This is a global concern, and there’s nothing to give better perspective than to see how this problem continues to affect one of the most enlightened countries in the world.

Step 1: Register for a free account at the commissioning operation, Contributoria.
Step 2: Bid up to fifty points to back my project below.

It’s that simple.

If you opt to be a paying supporter of the Contributoria project, you will have more points to bid to back projects. If you are a journalist you can also pitch your own ideas and solicit bids to back your own freelance projects, to which you maintain all copyright. Projects are funded from a mix of subscriber/supporter’s funds and grants, including sponsorship from the Guardian Media Group, and was funded at startup by the Google-sponsored International Press Institute News Innovation Contest.
